The Edinburgh Science Festival Reading Experiment

As part of the Edinburgh Science Festival Reading Experiment , the Satellite 4 Committee was asked to give our Top Ten SF books set at the interface between science and science fiction. Well, after much fighting, sorry, heated debate, we can up with our list which you can find here . We hope you approve!

Science Fact Meets Science Fiction

As part of its Golden Jubilee celebrations the University of Strathclyde is sponsoring a mini-symposium at Satellite 4 on the morning of Monday 21st April. Three academics will give presentations on the state-of-the art in areas of science and technology of potential interest to SF fans and writers - artificial intelligence, biotechnology and quantum computing.

Creche Registration

The Satellite 4 Creche will be in the Hilton Garden Inn. Registration forms have been sent out to all parents of registered children and infants.

Please return them as soon as possible, so the crèche providers can make it the best experience possible for the children. Any parents requesting crèche places on arrival at con maybe disappointed.

Programme volunteers

Satellite 4 would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has volunteered for programme. We are now in the process of putting all the information provided into our database, so as to create the final schedule for the event.

Please note that, as of today, any further volunteers or suggestions will be placed on a reserve list.
