Workshops
Our GoH Juliet McKenna will lead two writers’ workshops on the use of visual reference. We shall also have sessions on improvisation for actors and writers, and a young writers’ fantasy workshop aimed at 11-15 year olds.
There will be lots of chances to try your hand at arts and crafts, from knitting to mask-decorating, sock-puppet making and painting. Why not come along and help Loncon 3 get stuffed (sewing an enormous flock of soft toy pigeons of course — download the pigeon pattern here) — or create a unique garden of word flowers for their John Clute exhibit.
For our more energetic members there will be a walk (or run, if you are so inclined) round some of the pubs sites of Glasgow in collaboration with Glasgow Hash House Harriers (please bring suitable clothes and, especially, footwear, if you plan to participate). We’ll also be offering dance workshops for those who would like to get in a bit of practice in advance of the ceilidh or ball.
In response to interest expressed at Eightsquared, we’ll also be featuring prominently some workshops on Conrunning, led by Mark Meenan.
